| In the realm of the physical
sciences, many great minds have contributed their knowledge and wisdom in the hopes of
advancing humankind. Their theories, observations, experiments and discoveries have
helped drive scientific understanding as far as the imagination. One of the greatest
contributors to our modern day understanding of the universe is Albert Einstein. His
theories and his intuitive beliefs about the universe inspired society and many great
minds that were to follow. His complete theories are beyond the scope of this homepage, so instead I have focussed on a few of the principles within Special Relativity. The topics I've presented today include the Michelson-Morley experiment, time dilation, length contraction, and the twin paradox. |
